Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and take dental X-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
- Assist the dentist in identifying conditions like gingivitis, periodontitis, and caries
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and properly maintained
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Promote a positive work environment and uphold the mission and values of Houston Dental Oasis
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Proficiency in performing dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
- Strong diagnostic and patient education skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
